Hooligan de Laubry leaves Haras de Laubry

Every ending has a new beginning …

Today we say goodbye to the King of our stables, Hooligan De Laubry. Proud and sad at the same time. Sad that this one of a kind stallion is leaving us, but proud at the same time because of everything he gave us.

“The first time I saw Hooligan, I knew he was special. I had a feeling we were going to do great things.”

Damien found in Hooligan his partner in crime. Both eager to learn and never afraid of a challenge, they grew to the highest level in showjumping.

Their biggest achievements were a 3th place in the CSIW 5* Open Sires of the World 1m45 and a 6th place in CSIW 5* 1m50 at Jumping Mechelen in 2017.

In June 2018, Damien and Hooligan competed in their first Nations Cup CSIO*** Lisbon, and with success. They finished the first round with a beautiful clear, and the Belgium team took home the silver medal.

“I will never forget this moment, I was so proud of Hooligan. It was our time to prove ourselves and he gave himself completely.”

Hooligan is not a typical stallion. He looks rough, but in the end he is sensitive, protective, curious, respectful, and above all inseperable from his person Margherita Stratta.

“ I didn’t choose him, he chose me”

Margherita knew as no other what he loved most : long walks on the beach , playing free in the indoor arena and especially banana snack time.

We wish Hooligan and his new rider the very best!
Damien : “Hooligan, it’s all in your name, but for me you were the perfect friend”

Dear Hooligan, may you fly high in life, and make your new owner as happy as you made us. We will never forget you, thank you for everything!
